First of all, another question: What does it mean to be happy? The term happiness is used in the context of mental or emotional states, including feeling well, good, positive, optimistic, pleased, proud, pleasant, content, joyful, satisfied, at peace, secure, accepted, free, realized, excited and fulfilled. 


Happiness may have many different definitions, but it is always linked to experiencing more positive feelings than negative. Also, happiness is subjective, because it looks different to each one of us. However, regardless of your version of happiness, living a happier, more satisfied life is within your reach and you can learn how to be happy in life.


Happiness is an emotion inside us and under our control, hence, nothing outside of us can make us happy or truly happy. External circumstances or relations can make you happy, for a while, but real, true, long lasting happiness can only be produced inside you.


This is how you produce happiness inside you: Your thoughts create emotions and your emotional reactions to situations and circumstances come from automatic responses programmed in your mind by repetition of thoughts/emotions/actions during your lifetime. That is the paradigm you must change to be happy. Change from negative to positive thinking. Expect the best, not the worst. ReProgram your paradigms by changing your thoughts, believing positive outcomes are possible, visualizing them and persevering to act in positive ways.

What News Are You Following?


Emotions make us become more impacted by certain types of information, because our emotional load makes us pay attention to the cause. That is, information relevance to us is correlated to the emotions we are experiencing. That happens to each one of us in our individual world. But, research shows that groups of people sharing the same level of consciousness and emotional response to certain types of information, create a collective response network that actually determines the perception of reality.


The world today has massive amounts of information available almost instantly, and when you get the attention of large groups of people who share the same emotional load on information, you create a collective response network. This determines the perception of reality for each different group. Reality in essence doesn't exist or it is absolutely unimportant, because it doesn't affect the world. Only the mass perception of reality matters.


This is creating the divisionism we experience and the only way to get unity is by creating unity in the emotional loads we carry. This will call for the need to gather around the promotion of a general positive feeling. However, this may be naive, because bad news is better business than good news. But, the game changed and the ease of spreading large amounts of news very fast makes the game a lot more dangerous now, than before.

Learn As You Go


Learning as you go is the same method you used to learn to walk when you were a baby, or to learn to ride a bicycle, to swim, to drive a car, to cook, to be a spouse, a parent, and many more.


However, formal education is predominantly structured to: Learn first and go later. We tend to lose a lot of time and have a lot of unfinished projects, careers and vocations, because we are afraid to start until we have all of the learnings and facts, since we got used to formal education, plus our fear of failure.


Our heritage from thousands of years is to learn from our environment, and our interaction with the information around us, working in real life. I understand that theoretical teaching has a reason to exist, but... Real life practice will always beat theoretical teaching.

A self-fulfilling prophecy is the phenomenon of "predicting" or expecting something, and because you believe this "prediction" will come true, your behaviors align with the prediction making it true in your life.


For instance, you might predict that your work or business will turn out exceedingly well, and feel confident about it. Then, your hard work pays off and your results are great. Alternatively, you might expect that things will go terribly, and thus your results are well below expectations.


Although you could conclude that you know yourself quite well, you should think about the effects your expectations have on your behavior. Your beliefs and expectations influence your behavior at the subconscious level, enacting what is known as a self-fulfilling prophecy.


Your subconscious mind will carry out your orders.

Star Wars shows the dark side as evil and the light side as good, and that is true to some extent, but it goes beyond that. We are very complex creatures, produced by a cocktail mixture of genetics and environment, that includes culture, upbringing, education and experiences.


To explain the dark and light sides in an oversimplified way, we can say that the dark side is the one that walks towards hate and death, while the light side walks towards love and life. It is not too difficult to see that the dark d¿side destroys and the light side builds. So, I have to admit that I am biased and my choice of life is on the light side.

Why are you giving the same answers to the same situations? Why are you doing the same things to achieve the same results? Why can’t you break the vicious circle? You have to consider the connection between thoughts, beliefs, feelings and attitudes.


Thoughts are ideas, words or images in your mind. They are created by your imagination and have energy.  Basically, if you can create it in your mind, you can make it happen.  Everything has started with an idea.


Belief is an acceptance that something is true or that something exists. The question is whether you believe in your thoughts or not, and that is where your potential i¿of success is determined.

 

Feelings are emotions and they can be experienced in varying degrees of intensity and usually have a physical sensation attached. The type and intensity of your feelings is highly correlated with your belief in your thoughts. Feelings are important because they are always expressed.


Attitudes are a psychological construction in your mind conceived by the coupling of emotions and experiences, forming a person’s character and temperament through repetition.

 

The Connection is that our thoughts create our feelings based on our beliefs and our feelings drive our attitudes. Our attitudes trigger our actions, and our actions through repetition form our habits. Your habits will create your future and determine your destiny.

 

To achieve any goal, you need to create that thought in your mind and believe you can do it. Believing is the hard part. You can help your belief by creating good feelings about it. Visualize yourself achieving your goal and feeling great about achieving it. Then comes the other difficult part: start doing it, with baby steps, but you need to start. Your mind can’t differentiate between thoughts and reality, with this process you will create a new reality in your mind that will get you building the habits that will get you to achieve your goal.

We need to plant seeds to get a harvest, and that is a universal law. Whatever we want to get, we need to plant seeds and work the planted field, taking care of it and protecting it, until we obtain the harvest we want and expect.

 

We must learn to do that with the greatest power we received as a gift from the Creator: Our Mind.

 

Whatever we want in this life, we need to plant it, in our mind as a thought. That is the seed. Then, we need to work those thoughts, taking care of them and protecting them, by rehearsing in our minds our actions to achieve it, see ourselves achieving it and feeling the emotions produced by our achievement. Then, we need to allow new attitudes to flow out of us and become new actions we take. The new actions by repetition, will become our new habits, that will take us to achieve what we want. That is the harvest.

 

Yes. Our future is conceived in our minds.

Because, you know that in your conscious mind, but your subconscious mind will sabotage you with the automatic answers that keep you doing the same things, in spite of the fact that you want to achieve different results. Crazy, right?

 

How to get out of that catch 22? Reprogramming your mind to change those automatic responses, to do different/new things/actions.

 

This process begins with new thoughts. It always starts with a thought in your mind that will generate a new vision, producing new feelings/emotions and new attitudes that will produce new actions. Those new actions by repetition will change your automatic responses (paradigms), acquiring new habits that will take you to achieve the results you want.

In mathematics and computer science, an algorithm is a sequence of well-defined instructions, or set of rules, also called a process, to be followed or used in problem-solving operations. The basic principle is: Input - Process - Output.


Essentially, life is a full display of algorithms directing the actions of cells that make up our bodies. So, this means that below the level of consciousness there are trillions of algorithmic processes constantly occurring within our bodies.


Also, all organisms, including human beings, are essentially algorithmic. Even the human mind is itself only a super-complex algorithm, and we can model it by building our own algorithms. That is, the way we respond to different situations and circumstances.


Many algorithms are innate, but they can also be learned by repetition of some combinations of steps and rules that work in the brain as building block algorithms, which may be combined with other steps and rules to form more complex algorithms.


Nobody can control your freedom to think and feel.

Is it true that it's better to give than receive?


Scientific Studies show that the old adage "it's better to give than to receive" is correct: spending money on others or giving to charity has a bigger impact in your internal happiness and health, than spending the money on yourself.


It is true that making more money will make you happier. But to be really and integrally happier, depends on how you spend your money. Research published on science journals show that people that spend money on others are happier than those who don't.


Most of the research in the past has said money isn't that important in terms of happiness. The things that are important are things to do with relationships, with other people, and things that help to promote meaning and the purpose of life.


These research results can be expanded to other areas: How do you spend your time? Your love? Your care? Your thoughts?

Good Changes Require To Leave The Comfort Zone


To change you need to make different choices as you have done before and that will make you feel uncomfortable, because it takes you out of the safe zone your mind have created for you.


The challenge is to break the bad habits. When you have a thought or face a situation or circumstance, the auto execute program in your subconscious mind will produce and automatic response. It is the emotion that accompanies that response what counts, and that is what you need to change, because you will want to go to your comfort/safe zone. So, you will probably think/say: Not now, later. I will do it tomorrow. This is not going to work. It doesn't feel right.


If you accept that as true, then, the same thought will lead to the same choice and behavior, which will create the same experience, producing the same emotions, and you will believe you are ok, because that is your comfort zone.


Don’t accept the automatic response from your subconscious mind that shows a habit that results in bad, negative, pessimistic, hopeless, sad, hateful, discordial, impatient, selfish, unfaithful, unkind, rough, self-indulgent attitudes.

  2. During the day you will work with determination on the steps you decided to take during the day and also, to overcome the bad habits of your old self, you will engage your thoughts, words and actions in the habits of your new self, building your day to achieve your goals.

  3. At night, when you are in bed and before going to sleep, review in your mind the day is about to end. Who you were being during the day. How did you do executing the plan you set in the morning. Think about adjustments for tomorrow's plan. Celebrate your efforts!
